The last Satellite Motel room came back online this month, which means the whole Gulf Coast strip is open the way we wanted it: three mid-century motels, heated pools, remodeled rooms, and a walk to Gulf Coast Boardwalk.
Paradise Inn kept the butterfly roof and added the arcade. Orbit Rooms kept the googie neon. Satellite is the quietest of the three, which is saying something on a neon block. Barbeque Blue is still the pit and the band.
